WSES successfully completed commissioning of ventilation and air conditioning systems on the second vessel of project MT 1112XL “Marlin”

WSES specialists have successfully completed a full scope of commissioning works, including software development based on the Calipso-Master technological platform, for the ventilation and air conditioning systems on board the “Marlin” vessel (yard No. 1114) of project MT 1112XL.

All works were carried out in full compliance with the technical specifications of the shipbuilder, PJSC Severnaya Verf, taking into account reliability requirements and operation in marine conditions.

The scope of work included:
- Software development for POL638/00/STD controllers (engine room ventilation and galley ventilation systems);
- Software development and commissioning of the refrigeration unit for the general ship ventilation and air conditioning system;
- Software development and commissioning of the refrigeration unit for provision stores;
- Software development and commissioning of engine room ventilation fans;
- Software development and commissioning of galley and processing factory ventilation fans;
- Commissioning of the air conditioning unit with humidifier;
- Commissioning of the air conditioner refrigeration machine;
- Commissioning of the bridge defroster;
- Commissioning of fan coils within the cooling system.

Special attention during the works was given to the configuration of control algorithms ensuring stable operation of equipment under variable loads and long-term operation conditions. All solutions were adapted to the vessel’s specifics and the customer’s requirements.

The works were completed within the established durations and accepted by the customer without remarks. The quality, system performance accuracy, and equipment reliability were confirmed by the quality control department of PJSC Severnaya Verf, as well as by the customer’s representatives during mooring trials.

“Marlin” is the second vessel in the series of modern longliners of project MT 1112XL on which WSES specialists have implemented this complex of works. On the first vessel of the series, “Gandvik”, the adopted technical solutions have proven their reliability, stability, and compliance with declared characteristics over more than two years of operation.

The experience gained during the implementation of the series projects made it possible to optimize development and deployment processes, as well as improve the efficiency of interaction with the customer’s production and operational units.

WSES continues to actively participate in the national shipbuilding program, cooperating with leading industry enterprises. The company consistently confirms its status as a reliable partner and supplier of ship automation solutions, capable of delivering projects of virtually any complexity at all stages — from development to commissioning.
