Implementation of the ASUTS Calypso-Master Software Suite for ADRIA WINCH Hydraulic Equipment

WSES specialists successfully completed the development, implementation, commissioning, and testing of the software suite as part of the ASUTS Calypso-Master project. The work included the integration of the suite with the control systems of hydraulic equipment manufactured by the Croatian company ADRIA WINCH, installed on a series of NE-025 Arctic rescue tugboats designed by Nordic Engineering Design Bureau. A total of four orders were fulfilled within the project.

The installed equipment included:
- Towing winch;
- Auxiliary winch;
- Towing rollers with locking mechanism;
- Hydraulic mast-lifting cylinder;
- Towing hook.

The need for this work arose after the manufacturer refused to provide the original software due to compliance with the sanctions regime. WSES specialists were tasked with implementing the full functionality of the equipment — a key requirement set by the customer, JSC "Okskaya Shipyard".

The project involved a detailed analysis of requirements, the development of custom software from scratch, and comprehensive testing. The functionality and technical characteristics of the equipment were successfully demonstrated to the experts of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) during mooring and sea trials for each order.

Additionally, during the project, WSES specialists developed solutions that improved the integration of control systems with the vessel systems, enhancing their reliability and efficiency under Arctic operating conditions. The completion of the work marked an important step in ensuring the vessels' readiness for operation and confirmed the competence of WSES specialists in addressing complex engineering challenges.
