It's always a pleasure to see projects implemented with attention to detail and high professionalism continuing to serve over time and finding new incarnations in real life. Thus, on May 26, 2025, at the Kanonersky Ship Repair yard, in Dock No. 4, a symbolic and remarkable "meeting" took place — two vessels well known to us found themselves side by side, each representing a significant result of joint engineering and production work. We are talking about the small sea tanker Valentin Rykov of Project 03182, built at JSC SSZ "VOLGA", and the crab catcher-processor Captain Skovpen of Project CCa5712R, launched at JSC "OKSKAYA SHIPYARD".
Both of these vessels are closely connected with the activities of our company, "WSES". We proudly recall our participation in their outfitting and commissioning. As part of the work on Valentin Rykov, WSES specialists successfully completed a full range of installation and commissioning activities, including sea trials of the unique STEERPROP SP35 CRP azimuth thrusters — highly efficient and reliable solutions for ship maneuvering in challenging conditions. As for Captain Skovpen, our team carried out comprehensive commissioning of a modern remote-controlled valve system, developed and implemented according to the technical specifications of our partner, the “Technoflot”.
Such meetings, even if accidental, once again emphasize the value of the work done, the professionalism of our specialists, and the importance of each project in contributing to the development of Russian shipbuilding and the maritime industry as a whole.
